Growing Communities: Our Corporate Commitment
WalkerHealthcareIT and WalkerHealthcare are strategically aligned to support organizations in the communities we serve. As a minority-owned and woman-owned business exclusively focused on the healthcare space, our philanthropic commitment to the community – enhanced by our passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – is to understand the unique challenges associated within healthcare disparity.
Our leadership team is keenly aware of the challenges in meeting the basic necessities within the underserved population due to race, religion, socio-economic disparities or other unique factors.
We are committed to:
- Representing a diverse employee base in each of our local communities
- Creating change in healthcare outcomes by fostering growth in our communities that are vulnerable to incongruities created by the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) – the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life
During the holiday season and beyond, our organizations have focused on two local community safe places for victims of domestic abuse and violence.
- In our Overland Park, Kansas, office, employees gave gift cards to Safe Home through their holiday gift-giving program. As the largest domestic violence shelter in the state of Kansas, and the only one in Johnson County, Safe Home strives to break the cycle of domestic violence and partner abuse for victims and their children in our community.

HAVEN seeks to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault across Oakland County and the surrounding communities by empowering survivors through advocacy and social change.
